A woman, 27, was flown to Fairfax Inova Hospital after being involved in a two-car accident early Monday afternoon.
The woman and her husband were attempting to turn eastbound onto University Boulevard from Freedom Center Boulevard when their Honda Civic collided with a Lincoln Navigator that was traveling westbound on University, according to a police spokeswoman.
The impact of the crash caused the Civic to be pushed off the road and into the grass where the vehicle struck a tree.
Prince William County Fire & Rescue Department extricated the woman from the vehicle. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The driver of the Navigator, 49, of Woodbridge, was treated at the scene for his injuries.
The woman’s husband stayed at the scene but refused comment.
At this time no charges have been filed pending the ongoing investigation.
