Comments Off

Consumer safety advocates watched with interest the testimony of Toyota executives, including the grandson of the company’s founder. Mr. Toyoda stated:

"We pursued growth over the speed at which we were able to develop our people and our organization, and we should sincerely be mindful of that. I regret that this has resulted in the safety issues described in the recalls we face today, and I am deeply sorry for any accidents that Toyota drivers have experienced."

Ashburn area car crash lawyer Doug Landau appreciates the Japanese auto manufacturer’s apology, acknowledgement of fault and promise to remedy the situation. Landau has heard of very few American companies offering public apologies and accepting responsibility for their actions. As ABRAMS LANDAU is presently investigating Toyota acceleration and other product defect claims on behalf of injured victims, it will be interesting to see how this plays out after the media and politicians are done with the story and the people whose lives have been affected bring their claims for reimbursement.
